With Sicca Fleur you can easily dry and prepare different types of flowers. It is safe to use and ensures a quick drying process so that the flowers fade minimally in color and retain their optimum shape. Sicca Fleur has a very fine grain, which means it can get between the petals of the flowers and speeds up the drying process. The Sicca Fleur is completely white and gives no indication cover. Instructions

Sprinkle a 2-3 cm Sicca Fleur layer in the plastic container with the airtight lid. Can be sealed airtight with adhesive tape. Close a dish, container or bucket with the airtight lid. The drying time varies, but you should check the flowers after two or three days. Roses need about ten days and orchids about two weeks. Keep a notebook and note the drying times of the different flower types.Carefully scoop the Sicca Fleur around the flowers so that you do not damage or crush the petals.

Cover all the petals and fill in the cracks. Continue to add Sicca Fleur until the flowers are completely covered. If the container is deep, a few layers of flowers can be dried in this way. It is preferable to put flowers of a kind in the same container: they are all ready at the same time.Place the flowers, petals or leaves on the Sicca Fleur crystals in such a way that they do not cover each other.

Most flowers need to be placed upright in the crystals, but some species, such as the gerbera or the daisy, are better placed upside down.

If the flowers feel papery, they can be brought out.

This is possible in two ways:

  • use a spoon and carefully scoop out the flowers;
  • tilt the container and carefully remove the flowers.

Use small paintbrushes to remove all Sicca Fleur remnants from the flowers. The Sicca Fleur looks like white granulated sugar and is harmless. You can let the Sicca Fleur dry and use it again. Depending on the type of flour / essential oil content, the Sicca Fleur will decrease in capacity.

Reuse

The Sicca Fleur absorbs water. The water can be removed from it in an oven or microwave. The oven must be heated between 120ºC and 150ºC. Place the Sicca Fleur on a baking foil or aluminum foil. The duration differs per weight but can be calculated with approximately 1 hour per 600 grams. When using a microwave oven, this should be set to medium (approximately 700 watts). The Sicca Fleur can be stirred with a spoon so that the moist gel becomes free again. The method and implementation of reuse is at your own risk.
